How's it going all,
As you may or may not know, it is Sean, Ray and I senior year at high school we are all moving on to college. As a result after this year not all of us are going to be together to form another huge gaming event. So the staff of Cyber-Velocity is planning to host Maine's BIGGEST LAN ever with 125 gamers. We have not been around long enough to get a chance to show everyone that Maine too hosts great LAN's and we are preparing ourselves to do so. Undecided of where we will host this event (Somewhere in Portland, Maine) we will to bring together 125 Gamers in for a 2 day weekend of Redbull energized excitement, memorable times, food, drinks, tons of prizes and making history in Maine for computer gaming events.
Linda and I will be working aggressively to get great responses from as many sponsors as we can to make you all leave with something great.
This LAN we want to bring together all people regardless of age or gender. Our last event we had the LanChelms guys and other people from various places over New England and we want everyone to join us for this event. 125 is our temporary limit but if we see the interest becomes great we may raise our limit. Come in groups, car pool, rent a bus and bring people down. We are going to do all we can to make this an unforgettable event and we can not do this without you. We ask that you spread the word and stay active on our forums. We are all heading off to college and we want to leave on a good note by providing everyone who comes to experience Maine's biggest LAN and the best gaming experience ever.
On our site we have all the necessary information that you will need to know to prepare yourself for the event. You may register now and start bringing in the people. Pre-paying as soon as possible will be great because our advertising cost for this event are exceedding what we thought already.

MexiLAN Revolution - Postponed

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, the MexiLAN Revolution party is being postponed. We at AdrenaLANrush apologize for the inconvenience this may cause, but we assure you that the party will be held, (likely sometime in August/September) and everyone who is currently registered will keep their placement, and be notified of the exact date as soon as we can reserve it.
Although this is regrettably the first party we have had to postpone, we are working hard to make sure that when it is held, it will be the best party we can possibly throw – that means more sponsors, prizes, swag and munchies for all.

New Things Happening With Cyber-Velocity

Cyber-Velocity as you may or may not know has been working for the past two weeks two enhance our website and make things easier and better for our users. The new site will be public in about 2 days but until then Cyber-Velocity has new forums which you may register and view at http://www.cyber-velocity.com/Forums - We have noticed the many LAN's in the time period to our next event but we hope that since our edition to LPANE the Staff of LPANE will help us out in our attempt to host the absolute biggest LAN in Maine. Though it may not be bigger than all of yours. Our attempt at 100+ gamers will only work with the help of the community here and the staff of LPANE. At our last event we were happy to get our 70 Gamers. www.cyber-velocity.com is our site address; helping us grow means taking a moment to register on our New Forums and keeping in touch.
The next event will be July 23rd, 2005. We are calling this Cyber-Velocity's Ten to Ten LAN. It will only cost $15 in advance and $25 at the door. We had many sweet prizes at our last event and we think they may even double for this next event to satisfy all the gamers there. The vote is in, we are not going to call this event "LCX". Nor are we calling it "LC 01010", "LC A", "LanChelms Kappa", or anything of the sort. We are calling it LanChelms 10, and registration is now open. The event will take place on June 25th, 2005 - right before the summer gets too hot. Also at this event we will be selling 100% authentic and limited edition LanChelms T-Shirts, so be sure to bring an extra $5 so you can take home a piece of LanChelms history.
As usual we will have a 160 person capacity, so make sure you Sign up and prepay as soon as you can. Spots will fill up fast.

Cyber-Velocity in with the Rest

Just last winter, Cyber-Velocity was just 5 or 6 guys in a barn fragging all night long. We were just a little LAN that knew no better than to blast all of our speakers and wake up the neighbors. Today we have grown into a fully functional LAN organization based in Lewiston, Maine.
From this past Summer to Fall we had LANs every other week. As we grew from 15 to 25 people, the slight interest we were seeing made us realize we could really get something going.
Four 16 year-old young adults have now taken Cyber-Velocity and made it something bigger and better. In January, we hosted our first big LAN party hosting around 60 people. We felt that growing from 5 to 60 players was cool. Apparently, so did current members of LPANE. Now we are part of the Lan Party Assosiation of New England and hope to make a great contribution to LPANE.

This past spring, the major LAN parties of New England teamed up to form The LAN Party Association of New England (LPANE). The group was formed to aid in collaboration between the parties, facilitate party date planning to avoid conflicts, and form a network of peers. The group was a huge success.
Today we mark another milestone in New England LAN gaming with our announcement of LPANE NorEaster 2005. This LAN Party will take place on April 16th-17th, 2005 in Wilmington, MA and will support 500 players! With the date of our next LAN party still an uncertainty, the BadLANs staff has decided to donate the sponsorship items received in the past year to our great friends at LanChelms.
Two great companies - Belkin and Ideazon - generously sent us dozens of quality merchandise to be raffled off at the next BadLANs event.
As the current largest LAN party in New England, LanChelms was the perfect fit to receive these items and they will be raffled off at their next 160 person event happening on August 28th. This wasn't a completely selfless act, however. As hopefull attendees of LC8, we will have a legitimate chance to win them back! Hope to see you there.

LanChelms 8 Update

We would like to update everyone on the status of LanChelms 8. There are currently 187 people registered and 86 people prepaid for the event on August 28th, 2004. Only 160 spots are available which means not everyone registered will be able to attend. We highly suggest that you send your payment in as soon as possible if you plan on attending.
Instead of running tournaments at LanChelms 8, we have decided to go with a game of the hour. We will have scheduled hour-long sessions where one game will be the focus of the party. Game stats will be running and a prize will be awarded to one or more of the top contenders. More details will be coming soon!

After a brief rest, AdrenaLANrush is busy making plans for our next LAN. But first and foremost, we want to welcome 3 new members to our crew that will help take the load off of us and help make our parties the cream of the crop.
We welcome: Lonestar, JesusBlacklock and Mr. Giggles to the AdrenaLANrush crew. Yes, Lonestar is a BadLANs member but lives right down the street from us and wanted to become more involved in the AdrenaLANrush ways of the Force.
